RIDE BASE ADDRESS:  298 Cranbury Road, CANOWINDRA 2804

 

From Canowindra Road, turn into Toogong Road which is a well maintained dirt road. Follow for about 3km and you will see Cranbury Hall on your left and the double gates to enter ride base are before the hall. The ride base is suitable for all size vehicles with easy access.   WE DO NOT recommend entering via Batty’s Lane due to wash outs.

 

OFFICE PROCEDURES:  The office will be located inside the Cranbury Hall.

 

  • 09.00am – 10km and 20km riders ONLY

  • 01.30pm – 40km and 80km riders

 

You must not crowd around the office, line up and wait, respecting the 1.5M social distancing rules. Please do not bring non-completed paperwork to the office on behalf of other riders. It will not be accepted.

 

RIDE FEES:

 

  • 10km introductory ride - $35  (plus $15 for day membership if applicable)

  • 20km introductory ride - $55  (plus $15 for day membership if applicable)   

  • CVC 40km ride - $75  (plus $15 for day membership if applicable) 

  • 80km Canowindra Challenge Ride Junior - $120.00 

  • 80km Canowindra Challenge Ride Senior - $140.00

  • Camping $5.00 per night per horse

 

REFUND POLICY:

 

  • Any riders who have entered and are unable to attend due to Covid19 restrictions will be issued with a FULL refund less a $5 administration fee

  • All other riders needing to withdraw for any reason will be issued a FULL refund up until Thursday, 8 July 10pm less a $5 administration fee

  • Refunds after the above date will be processed less 25%

 

VETTING PROCEDURES:  

 

  • Saturday rides will commence vetting at 10.00am

  • Sunday rides will be between 1.00pm and 5.00pm on Saturday

  • We will be using standard AERA vetting with heart rates 55 BPM after the first leg and 60 BPM for the second leg in the 80km ride. All other rides will be 55 BPM.

  • Early vetting will be allowed at 15 minutes but be aware you only have one chance at vetting so if your horses heart rate is over it will be a vet out. Priority will be given to horses that are on their 30 minutes.

 

SATURDAY RIDE SCHEDULE:

 

12:20pm – 20km pre-ride talk will be under saddle in the marshalling area

12.30pm - 20km ride starts (1.5hrs minimum ride time, 4hrs maximum ride time)

12.50pm – 10km pre-ride talk will be under saddle in the marshalling area

01.00pm - 10km ride starts (1hr minimum ride time, 2hrs maximum ride time)

 

SUNDAY RIDE SCHEDULE:

 

05.30am – 80km ride starts (6hrs minimum ride time (novice or 13mth rule), 9hrs maximum ride time)

07.00am – 40km ride starts (3 hrs minimum ride time, 5 hrs maximum ride time)

 

PRE-RIDE FOR 40km and 80km rides will be at 06.00pm SATURDAY EVENING

EVENT INFORMATION:

 

  • Online registration via Manehub is compulsory (NO entries will be taken on the day)

  • The Lions Club Canowindra will be on the barbecue and beverages both days

  • The Swift Coffee Van will be on site both days.

  • The GG Mobile Spot will be on site both days with their mobile saddlery shop.

  • There are showers on site but they will be necessity only due to water restrictions. Please respect this.

  • There are toilets at the hall and there will be portaloos around the ride base.

  • Dogs are very welcome but they MUST be kept on leads AT ALL TIMES

  • Please bring your own firewood. There will be some available on site for those who need it.

  • Fires will be allowed (pending restrictions). Drums are preferred.

  • Horse water will be provided via water pods on site.

  • Please bring your own human water.

  • Mobile phone coverage is good.

  • Rubbish bins will not be provided. ALL rubbish is to go home with you.

  • Horse manure is to be spread when you leave.
